Welcome to ProSE (Proverbs and Sayings in Europe)!

In three contributions Gyula Paczolay already offers a collection of European proverbs and sayings. Paczolay also includes non-European languages and thus finds out that none of his proverbs is exclusively European. However, Paczolay uses Europe in its geographical sense, while ELiX understands Europe in a cultural-anthropological way. This project wants to analyze whether there are any proverbs and sayings rather exclusive to Europe in our definition.
